One Reddit user reckons they've got hold of the bones of the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming and has shared it with the world.
Just in case it does turn out to be true we'll stick a spoiler alert in here. All of these plot points could come prefaced with "apparently" though, so to save us some word count just assume we've said "apparently" in front of absolutely everything here.
U/AHarbingerOfStuff reckons that the film's slated to be called Spider-Man: Field Trip, and come sequentially after Avengers 4, meaning Peter Parker will have to be un-disintegrated at some point in that film so he can mourn the recently deceased Tony Stark.
It's supposedly set in London, where Parker is on a field trip - do you see! - at a conference sponsored by Stark Enterprises. While there he'll come up against master thief and illusionist Mysterio, who's broadly rumoured to be played by Jake Gyllenhaal. Parker will then team up with an MI6 operative called Jessica Drew, whose superpower is being really good at spying.
Mysterio's set to nick some brilliant Stark creation which Parker has to go and nick back, and Vulture (that's Michael Keaton in Homecoming, keep up) and Scorpion (AKA Mac Gargan, who also turned up in Homecoming) will be around to tussle over whether Parker's secret identity is revealed.
There's also said to be a Walter the Softy-type nerd nemesis called Alastair Smythe for Parker to rub up against.
User u/AHarbingerOfStuff quotes "a reliable source", so obviously this stuff is absolutely stone-cold legit. We'll find out for sure when it comes out next summer.
